A promising place for every Thespian, Rudra-The Street Play Society of PGDAV College has alegacy of its own. Rudra was founded in 2005 and continues to work in full swing till date. It has produced severalplays on social issues like media literacy, prostitution. Rudra has performed and won at platforms like NSD, MoodI- The Cultural Fest of IIT Bombayand Manthan- The international street play festival by CBS.Rudra's glory goes beyond the Delhi University circuit. Its alumini have been successfullypursuing theatre, film making, acting direction and other professions that revolve around theatre.Rudra provides its members an environment to learn, explore, experience and engage. It aimsto entertain and aware people about the social issues as an effort to provide a perspective and bring a change.
SHOR
SHOR, The Annual Street Play Fest organized by Rudra as a flagship event, promotes cultural
and social awareness and artistic expression through theatrical performances.Rudra has been
organizing SHOR for more than 15 years and it is one of the most renowned theatre fests held
among the Delhi Collegiate Theatre Circuit.SHOR is about spreading awareness on social issues
plaguing the society and a launch pad for artists to grow into celebrities.This cultural
extravaganza showcases the talent and creativity of all the performers, artists and musicians.
Alumni’s from different colleges come to witness the occasion with great enthusiasm, judges
watch over teams from most reputed colleges competing against each other in the periphery as
the audience from all over Delhi University cheers them on.
SHOR, truly is an unforgettable event as this vibrant and dynamic cultural fest, supports a
worthy cause, and ends with a bagpack of lifelong memories for every soul experiencing it.💙
